"Beauty In Spires salon expands via Millennium & Copthorne Hotels deal Jun 27, 2016 By Georgia Seago
Beauty In Spires salon in East Grinstead, has partnered with the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels group to open salons within its hotels.Beauty In Spires, which opened its original site in 2012, launched its first concession at Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick on June 13 and has plans to open another within the hotel group’s Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick site later this year. The hotel group has 21 hotels in the UK and Beauty In Spires said future concessions were likely although none had yet been finalised. The beauty salon at Copthorne London Gatwick launched following four months of refurbishments and is next door to Spires Hairdressing in the hotel, which was established two and a half years ago.Richard Dandy, business director for Spires, explained that the partnership came about when the salon unit became available in December. “It seemed like a logical step – our business model is about hair and beauty, and the two go hand in hand,” he said. The new salon has two spacious treatment rooms with two therapists, and product houses include Darphin, Jessica, Mii, Lycon and Lava Shells. It will offer a 10% discount for hotel guests and 15% for flight crew, who frequently stay at the hotel. The second collaboration in Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick site will begin soon with renovations, though Dandy said an opening date isn’t currently set. He added: “We want it to be bigger but we don’t want to grow for the sake of growing.” The original Spires Hairdressing and Beauty in Spires salon is in East Grinstead."
